When it comes to facebook, students can be able to open a group were they can discuss their studies. For Example, second year PR students of the University of Johannesburg have opened a facebook page, called the "PR go-getters", they discuss all their studies in there, everything related to their schoolwork that they are not sure about. This can really help increase the pass rate for students.
"95% of students ages 18 to 24 use social networking tools, including instant messages and texting, 64% multiple times a day. Yet just 18% do so for schoolwork, and 27% never do". Yet 18% do so for schoolwork, and 27% never do. Just 5% never use social networks.(http://www.usatoday.com/news/education/). These percentage really shows that most students use social networks for their personal things but there can still be a possibility for majority of them to use them for their studies. This is up to the students on how much effort do they want to put in in their work and for the schools as well.
its indeed up to the students on how much effort they want to put in in their work and for the schools as well. cause most students when they fail they blame it on the social media, but if you have self control... in steed of facebook they should be facing their books... but it depends on a person hey...well i love twitter facebook and whataspp, but my books came first:-)
ReplyDeleteYes, if you love your social networks then you might also use them for your studies as well.
DeleteSocial networks can have a bad impact on your studies sometimes, like for an example:using third party information that was given at a group for important schoolwork and later find out that you have used wrong information to compile yor work.
ReplyDeleteThis does not mean that students must not listen in class, knowing that they have their facebook group that will help them. Students shoul also double-check from someone else.
DeleteSocial network are realy good becouse you communicate cheaper with your clssmates and they are faster in sending messages.
